I bet if I took a survey, the majority of the people who look at my xanga (which are like 5? haha) would rather look at pictures than to read a long post. And it just so happens I would much rather post pictures, instead of type out what has happened in the last several weeks! So everybody can be happy now, because here are some pictures that highlight what I've been doing in the last several months:

P1040312

That was choir festival back in March...

P1040364

Also in March, our pastor (Lutz) and his family left to plant another ministry in Texas. I miss them so much, and it's been hard to adjust to them being gone, but I know that they are doing God's Will, and we are very blessed to have Pastor Walters (who is our new senior pastor).

P1040379

I was lucky enough to be a 'waitress' at the Lutz's going away party...that was a blast.(I'm serious! It was fun. )

Walters__Party__12_[1]

We also had a 'Going Away' party (even though he was only going 'upstairs') So more like "Thanks for Being Great Youth Leaders" party for the Walters. The above is our lovely little youth group.

And now for my most higlighted highlight....Choir Tour or otherwise known as: Central Lancaster County Homeschool Touring Choir...ok so 'Choir Tour' is definitely the more used title.

Emily, Me, Carey, Morgan, Julie, Shannon, Anna, EA, and the 'us (it was a small, sad, 'lost in the 80's' bus, so we decided that it didn't deserve the term 'bus' - therefore it was called 'the 'us')

CIMG6375

Let's just say that Shannon has some peculiar tastes when it comes to junk food combinations.

Choir Tour 2007 017

Me and Carey on the 'us. (we were engulfed in everyone's clothes and baggage!)

Choir Tour 2007 069

This is the view from the 'great room' in the house that Shannon, Anna, Dani, Julieanne, and I stayed at Fri. night. To put it simply..It was amazing.

Choir Tour 2007 100

Anna, Erin, Julie, Me, Carey, Chelsea, and Sarah at the National Zoo in D.C.

Choir Tour 2007 150

We did a lovely 'mini concert' on Sunday morning and stayed in the choir loft for the sermon...and then proceeded to the same thing two more times that morning. Yeah. We totally could have preached that sermon by the end of that morning...

Choir Tour 2007 187

I love my CareyBeary!

Choir Tour 2007 191

I miss you, Shannon! I hope you see this over in France. And know this: This post is for you! Haha, it might be a little bit...delayed but it's finally here! Annndd I updated before you got back! Whoohoo for me!

Choir Tour 2007 194

Shannon, Hannah, Morgan and I had an awesome 'photo shoot' in the deserted alley Sunday afternoon. This is Hannah and Me^

Choir Tour 2007 198

Haha. We are just too cool.

Choir Tour 2007 202

Choir Tour 2007 208

Wow. Aren't you just blown away by our awesomeness?

Choir Tour 2007 212

This one is so cool...

Choir Tour 2007 247

We split up into teams one night and did skits. That was so much fun. Haha anyway, here is the team that won. (They were h.i.l.a.r.i.o.u.s!)

Choir Tour 2007 248

Carey and I having a carefree skip down the hall (in our matching shirts).

Choir Tour 2007 309

On our last day (Monday) we made an excursion to Longwood Gardens where we proceeded to have a glorious time getting soaked by the giant fountains, and just chillin (or more like 'bake' ) in the grass. It was amazing!

Choir Tour 2007 323

Getting sprayed by the fountains..

Choir Tour 2007 325

Some of us got more soaked than others.

Choir Tour 2007 336

Yup. We are just that hot.

Choir Tour 2007 339

Aahhh. That was pretty much the best 45 mins. I've ever spent outside.

Ok. This has been ridiculous. It'll probably take forever for my xanga to load now. And for you Facebookers, these pictures aren't anything new. But hey, I updated...and it was a picture update which everyone knows is better than just a regular update! There are so many more pictures I could put on here. But this is already way too long. Sooo...there ya go Shannon! Hope you liked it!

Tomorrow Anna and I and about 40 other people will be going on the CLCHC tour. (that's homeschool choir for those of you who are acronym illiterate) We'll be doing concerts in PA, MD, and VA. If anyone would like to come to our last concert, it will be at Wheatland Presbyterian Church, Lancaster, PA on Monday, April 30th at 7pm. Do come, it should be pretty cool (and a lot shorter then previous concerts!) Hope everyone has a great weekend (I'm pretty sure I will!) And good luck to the HBC teams who will be quizzing on Saturday!

Err, I suppose it's time to confess. I've been on Facebook. It's not that I don't love xanga, I do...ever so much. But as I'm sure you can tell, I haven't really felt like updating lately, (lately...ha! more like, the past several months!) and on Facebook you don't have to update...so, yeah. That's whats up. I'm not completely giving up xanga though, just expect more of the same sparsity of updates. That's all. As it happens, today is also one of the days I don't feel like updating this, so this shall be short and swe-- well maybe not so sweet...but it's short! That's a good thing, right?

Monday, March 12, 2007

Well, it's been a month. I guess it's time to update.

Let's see, what's happened since my last post...'all' that snow we got has come and gone (I got a few good trips down snow-laden hills with Anna and Katie which was quite fun) But now that we've gotten our snow for the winter, I'm most eagerly awaiting the arrival of spring. Speaking of spring, we've had some pretty springish like days lately. (hurray!) Anyway, back to my update. Last weekend Ruth, Anna and I went up to my Aunt Ann and Uncle Barry's and went to a production of Oklahoma! My uncle was in the orchestra playing the oboe (which he played fantastically, of course!) Everyone in the production did a great job, and it was so much fun to watch! (Actually, it made me want to do something like that too -- minus the singing on my part though. haha) SO yeah, that was a fun weekend. And then this weekend was Music Festival, which was totally amazing. I learned so much, had so many new experiences, and hopefully improved my voice, too!) I had so much fun hanging out with friends, getting to know them better and meeting new friends as well. Our concert was on Saturday, and I think it was a success. But even if we had sounded terrible it really wouldn't matter because we had such a blast in the process. So that's pretty much what's been going on with me in a peanut shell. Oh, I also got a new phone:

Pretty schnazzy, no? Yeah I like it quite a lot. And it's all mine! Even better.

Alright, well I'm a bit tuckered out. I think I shall head off to bed. I promise to catch up on comments within the nearish future though! Really, my spirit is willing, but my flesh is oh so lazy.

Tuesday, February 13, 2007

Oh yes my friends. We've finally gotten some snow. And I'm quite happy. Quite. And I've spent my share out in it today let me tell you. Besides shoveling, (one of my favorite pastimes)Paige, Ethan (the little kids I babysit) and I were out in it for about an hour (me without a hat on, while it was still snowing. Yes, how smart am I?) And then Anna and I went sledding with Katie and Zach tonight. I pray the day never comes that I will not want to sled. It really would be a shame, because it's a load of fun.

For all of you lovers out there, Hope you have a lovely Valentine's Day. And for us single people...heck we can still have a nice day...we'll just have to buy our own flowers and candy.
