I bet if I took a survey, the majority of the people who look at my xanga (which are like 5? haha) would rather look at pictures than to read a long post. And it just so happens I would much rather post pictures, instead of type out what has happened in the last several weeks! So everybody can be happy now, because here are some pictures that highlight what I've been doing in the last several months:
That was choir festival back in March...
Also in March, our pastor (Lutz) and his family left to plant another ministry in Texas. I miss them so much, and it's been hard to adjust to them being gone, but I know that they are doing God's Will, and we are very blessed to have Pastor Walters (who is our new senior pastor).
I was lucky enough to be a 'waitress' at the Lutz's going away party...that was a blast.(I'm serious! It was fun. )
We also had a 'Going Away' party (even though he was only going 'upstairs') So more like "Thanks for Being Great Youth Leaders" party for the Walters. The above is our lovely little youth group. And now for my most higlighted highlight....Choir Tour or otherwise known as: Central Lancaster County Homeschool Touring Choir...ok so 'Choir Tour' is definitely the more used title.
Emily, Me, Carey, Morgan, Julie, Shannon, Anna, EA, and the 'us (it was a small, sad, 'lost in the 80's' bus, so we decided that it didn't deserve the term 'bus' - therefore it was called 'the 'us')
Let's just say that Shannon has some peculiar tastes when it comes to junk food combinations.
Chelsea and I at 'Ego Alley' (aka 'Nasty Water' ) in Annapolis, MD
"We put the 'go' in 'Ego'
Julie, Morgan, Carey, and Amy posing with some statues in Annapolis
the official CLCHTC '07 outside of the capitol building in Annapolis. Aren't we cool lookin?
....oops.
Me and Carey on the 'us. (we were engulfed in everyone's clothes and baggage! )
This is the view from the 'great room' in the house that Shannon, Anna, Dani, Julieanne, and I stayed at Fri. night. To put it simply..It was amazing.
Anna, Erin, Julie, Me, Carey, Chelsea, and Sarah at the National Zoo in D.C.
We did a lovely 'mini concert' on Sunday morning and stayed in the choir loft for the sermon...and then proceeded to the same thing two more times that morning. Yeah. We totally could have preached that sermon by the end of that morning...
I love my CareyBeary!
I miss you, Shannon! I hope you see this over in France. And know this: This post is for you! Haha, it might be a little bit...delayed but it's finally here! Annndd I updated before you got back! Whoohoo for me!
Shannon, Hannah, Morgan and I had an awesome 'photo shoot' in the deserted alley Sunday afternoon. This is Hannah and Me^
Haha. We are just too cool.
A couple of tourists at a 'major attraction'
Wow. Aren't you just blown away by our awesomeness?
This one is so cool...
We split up into teams one night and did skits. That was so much fun. Haha anyway, here is the team that won. (They were h.i.l.a.r.i.o.u.s!)
Carey and I having a carefree skip down the hall (in our matching shirts).
On our last day (Monday) we made an excursion to Longwood Gardens where we proceeded to have a glorious time getting soaked by the giant fountains, and just chillin (or more like 'bake' ) in the grass. It was amazing!
Getting sprayed by the fountains..
Some of us got more soaked than others.
Yup. We are just that hot.
Aahhh. That was pretty much the best 45 mins. I've ever spent outside. Ok. This has been ridiculous. It'll probably take forever for my xanga to load now. And for you Facebookers, these pictures aren't anything new. But hey, I updated...and it was a picture update which everyone knows is better than just a regular update! There are so many more pictures I could put on here. But this is already way too long. Sooo...there ya go Shannon! Hope you liked it! |
